Q: Why the heck is this blog called “The Tinfoil Hat?”

A: Check out this post!

Q: Where should I start reading? There are a lot of posts!

A: Go here for a tapas-like sampling of the types of things I write about.

About Me:

I’m a aerospace/mechanical engineering graduate student working on spacecraft systems. I also have a degree in medieval history and a strong interest in economics and private enterprise (and especially private space space

exploration.) My goal for this blog is to offer up (hopefully useful, informative and/or thought-provoking) perspectives on space exploration, science, and graduate school through the lens of this platypus-like combination of backgrounds.

You can get in touch with me via email or find out more at my website. I also tweet @ben_reinhardt.

I also write about topics related to my research at the Space Systems Design Studio Blog.

Just as a disclaimer, everything on this blog is my own opinion and does not reflect the opinions of NASA, Cornell University, The Space Systems Design Studio, or any other organization.
